Woman gives birth in bus, caught on camera

CHENGDU, China  –  A close-circuit television (CCTV) in a bus in China captured the amazing scene of a mother giving birth to her child.

Wang Liying, 39, was on the way to Chengdu Medical College Hospital with her 3-year-old son, after feeling pains in her stomach, Live Leaks reported.

However, her water broke after boarding the bus, and the scene was captured on the CCTV onboard the bus.

Soon, after that she went into labour and she cried out in pain; other passengers on the bus asked if she was alright, but the intensity of her pain prevented her from replying.

The passengers then alerted the driver to the woman’s plight, and he headed straight towards the nearest hospital in Chengdu.

Soon after, the woman felt her new-born crowning and reached into her clothes to pull the child out. Passengers around were seen giving her blankets to keep the child warm.

Her son stood amazed at the sudden appearance of his new sibling.

The woman then held the child upside down and patted the child’s bottom in attempt to clear its airways.

Fortunately, the child cried out.

The passengers were also able to flag down an ambulance that was passing-by that brought the mother and child the rest of the way to the hospital.

Both mother and child are believed to be well.
