KUALA LUMPUR: Police have seized several properties belonging to the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC)  in their investigation into the scandal ridden company.

Bukit Aman said in a statement Tuesday that four properties have been seized, as of June 18, under the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act 2001.

The properties are two condominium units in the city and two plots of land in Putrajaya.

Police began investigating the corporation following the release of the 2010 Auditor-General Report which highlighted the failure of NFCorp’s National Feedlot Centre to meet the annual beef production target set by the Government.

NFCorp is being investigated by the police and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) simultaneously. – The Star Online
