Rais gets RM112 million
Kuala Lumpur, May, 17, 2012. The government made an allocation of RM112 million to cover the management of 185 musuems through the country for a period of three years from 2010, said Information, Communications and Culture, Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim.
He said the allocation is also to enable the mususems to play their role in chaneling information on wider sclae and improving the quality of their displays.
“As such, each musuem must take the initiative to improve its delivery system and quality of exhibition,” he told reporters after the launching of the national level International Mususems Day 2012 at the National Musuem here Thursday.
The launching was officiated by Tengku Mahkota Pahang, Tengku Abdullah, who represented his father, Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang.
Rais said his ministry would also be organising an exhibition on the history of Bahasa Melayu this year to highlight the evolution of the National Language. – Bernama
