Jun 23: Having resigned from his job as chief executive of the Selangor state economic advisory office, PKR’s Rafizi Ramli said he now can give full attention to bringing down Barisan Nasional.

Rafizi, the PKR strategic director, said with the burden of state government matters off his shoulder, this aim could be realised.

“My focus in life is only one, to bring down BN. My resignation will contribute to this,” he said in a Twitter posting.

He has been responding a continuous stream of reactions on his Twitter following his resignation yesterday, which prompted speculation that he would “jump ship”.

But Rafizi took such suggestions with a sense of humour.

Rafizi had earlier cited fatigue as the main reason why he left the state government job.

Speculation by UMNO media that there was a rift brewing between him and Selangor economic advisor Anwar Ibrahim was also silenced when they shared the stage during a ceramah session last night in  Jalan Genting Klang, Kuala Lumpur. – The Harakah
