PETALING JAYA: A lower torso man was found by the roadside in Jalan SS22/21 here yesterday.

The body part, without its upper portion and two feet, were found by a passer–by who was walking along the stretch at 11.50am.

It was found clad in blue jeans.

Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed said the body part was believed to have been brought to the area by an overflowing drain nearby following a heavy rain.

“We believed the victim was murdered in the last 24–hours based on the condition of the remains,” he said.

Police deployed the K9 Unit to search for the rest of the body parts around the area but to no avail.

The body part was taken to University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) for autopsy.

Arjunaidi urged those with information on the case to contact Petaling Jaya police headquarters at 03–7966 2222 or the nearest police station. – The Malay Mail
