Diary :-

Malay Mail Jul 07 2008 – FORMER MIC Youth wing chief S. Vickneswaran yesterday hit back at party president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu, accusing him of being the one most responsible for the failure to build up Indian youths in the country. In response to Samy Vellu blaming him for not doing enough for the youth, Vickneswaran retaliated by asking the MIC president to explain how he had spent the RM20 million the government had given to the party to fund development programmes for Malaysian ethnic Indian youths.

Samy Vellu’s outburst on the problems facing the Indian youths came at the MIC Youth and Puteri AGM yesterday. “I provided all the mechanism for the youth wing but street fights and murders are still prevalent among Indian youths. What did he (Vickneswaran) do for the youths?” Samy said yesterday. Samy Vellu said Vickneswaran would never be allowed to return to the party as he had misbehaved.

He further accused Vickneswaran of being ungrateful as he (Samy Vellu) was the one who had paved the way for him to be a Member of Parliament and a parliamentary secretary. He also went on to say that Vickneswaran had threatened party members and hinted that he would get youths to demonstrate against him a this functions.

“Frankly speaking, I do not take him seriously anymore because he is excess baggage and I’d rather be ungrateful to him that be ungrateful to the party that I love. We spend lot of time and energy defending him rather than doing work,” he added.

NST, Aug 26 2008 – KUALA LUMPUR: Former MIC Youth chief S. Vigneswaran has filed a RM11 million defamation suit against MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu and three others. The three are Star Publications Bhd, its group editor Datuk Wong Chun Wai and writer A. Letchumanan.

Vigneswaran claimed that the article had tarnished his reputation, that as the former youth and sports parliamentary secretary he did not do anything beneficial for the Indian community, he was not trustworthy, he had misused his position in the party, he was involved in the underworld, he encouraged vice activities and he did not have a stable family.

Vickneswaran behind anti Samy demo – Samy did not name the person but obviously he is none other then MIC youth leader Vickneswaran, a well known figure for his criminal activities in Klang area together with his ‘Oh Brother’. Apparently, after being thrashed in the parliament seat by PAS candidate, he wanted to be appointed as a Senator which Samy denied.

According to a reliable source, Vickneswaran is the one who instigated Klang MIC division leader Alex Thiyagarajan to openly attack Samy Vellu asking him to resign and also to report anti-corruption agency on Maika scandal.

“Vicky has an ambitious plan to become the MIC deputy president. This could be possible only if Palanivel takes over from Samy and that is now in question owing to Subramanim’s reentry to active politics”, the same source said.*********MIC Youth head to seek legal opinion NST, JUNE 21 2008

KUALA LUMPUR: MIC Youth chief S.A. Vigneswaran has declared that he will not bow to calls by the party leadership to vacate his position due to the age cap factor, at least not until he seeks legal opinion on the matter. The 43-year-old former Kota Raja MP said yesterday that he would study the legal opinion on a clause in the party constitution which appears to be open to interpretation.

BERNAMA Sunday June 29, 2008 MYT 8:32:12 PM – SHAH ALAM: Former MIC Youth chief S. A. Vigneswaran has quit the party with immediate effect citing problems with party president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu and for being forced out of his youth post before his term was up.

July 6 (Bernama) — MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu today took to task the party’s former youth chief S.A. Vigneswaran whom he described as having failed in his duty to help the Indian youth. Samy Vellu said Vigneswaran was only good at chairing meetings either at state or national level but failed to come up with clear programmes to develop the Indian youth.

“Vigneswaran should have focused his attention on problems faced by Indian youth apart from resolving problems within the MIC Youth movement,” he told reporters after opening the MIC Wanita, Youth, Puteri and Putera wings’ annual general assemblies here today.
