Kuala Lumpur
– The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) today collaborated in promoting awareness of corruption and abuse of power among the public by running a campaign through public transportation.

MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad said for a start, advertisements with anti-corruption messages would be displayed on two Kelana Jaya Light Rail Transit (LRT) coaches.

“The outer walls of the coaches will be covered with a warning from the MACC, but inside the train the advertisement will give a gentle reminder on the effects of corruption together with information on the MACC.

“I was informed that train commuters on the Kelana Jaya route could reach up to 250,000 people a day and they would read or at least see the MACC campaign displays when on board the train,” he said after launching the campaign at the Bangsar LRT station here.

Also present was Prasarana president and chief executive officer Datuk Azmi Abdul Aziz. – Bernama
