KUALA LUMPUR, May 19, 2012: Five policemen were injured when a car they were travelling in crashed into the cement wall of the Prime Minister’s official residence in Putrajaya early Saturday.

The police constables, aged between 20 and 22, and attached to the Shah Alam police headquarters, were warded at the Putrajaya Hospital, before one of them was discharged, Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Mohmad Salleh said.

Mohmad said the five policemen were not on duty when the crash occurred about 4am, adding that investigations centred on why they were at the vicinity of the official residence.

He said the car belonged to one of the policemen.- GIG
