Construction of 3 new National Type (Tamil) Primary Schools (SRJK[T]) is expected to begin early next year
The construction of three new National Type (Tamil) Primary Schools (SRJK[T]) is expected to begin early next year under a special allocation of RM11.4 million, said Penang Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Teng Chang Yeow.
He said that besides the construction of the three new SRJK(T), another nine SRJK(T) would be renovated using a special allocation provided.
“The three SRJK(T) which will begin construction early next year are SRJK(T) Valdor in Sungai Bakap, SRJK(T) Mak Mandin, Butterworth and SRJK(T) Subramaniya Barathee, Bukit Gelugor.
“This is an effort by the government to ensure that all students receive equal rights on education, besides ensuring that they have comfortable environment in school,” he told reporters after making a working visit to the SRJK(T) Ladang Batu Kawan construction site, here today.
Teng said the whole cost for the construction of the new building was RM6.35 million and it was expected to be fully completed in February 2014.
