Businessman,semi-auto gun,9 times-died in Camry
KLANG – A businessman’s night out turned out to be his last after he was shot dead at close range.
A passer-by stumbled upon the 34-year-old’s body, which was slumped over the steering wheel of his Toyota Camry in front of a pub in Taman Desawan here.
Selangor CID police chief Mohd Adnan Abdullah said police were notified at 7.40am yesterday.
Mohd Adnan said the victim, who lived in Bayu Perdana and operated a business based in Kepong, was believed to have gone out for dinner with friends before adjourning to the nightclub.
He was seen leaving the club at 5am, said Mohd Adnan, adding that the father of three was believed to be an alcoholic beverage distributor.
According to Mohd Adnan, the victim was believed to have died instantly after being shot at least nine times at close range with a semi-automatic gun.
The police forensic unit found eight bullet casings at the scene.
Mohd Adnan said footage from a CCTV at the nightclub entrance could provide a clearer picture of what might have happened.
“We will also be contacting the victim’s friends to assist in investigations.”
Meanwhile, the victim’s distraught family members were at the scene of the incident and his wife was seen sobbing uncontrollably.
His body has been sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital here for post-mortem. – thestar
