Baby Tharmeendran’s condition receives MIC Youth’s attention
Kuala Lumpur – At the sidelines of Setiawangsa Parliament’s Election Machinery Meeting, a couple with their child met state youth leader S. Arumugam to seek his assistance for their child’s condition. Tharmeendran Sujeindran is only one and a half years old but he couldn’t walk like most children his age.
The otherwise cheerful child, is suffering from a rare ligament disorder that has made it impossible for him to sit up straight or stand on his legs. In order for him to do so, he needs custom made car seat and brace for the leg. The car seat alone costs RM2,200 while the brace (attached to boots) is nearing RM400.
As for their part, the State Youth Committee will raise funds for both equipments. This family’s predicament will also be referred to relevant bodies to enable them to receive needed assistance.
